Welcome Aboard!

The Crab Orchard Lake Sailing Association is located in beautiful Southern Illinois on the 6985 acre Crab Orchard Lake. COLSA was established in 1997 after a nearly 15 year absence of organized sailing at the Lake (see history pages). Today the organization supports numerous activities, including a race series held in conjunction with the Southern Illinois Community Sailing Club (SICSC). COLSA also encourages participation through monthly meetings that feature programs of interest to all sailors. We also organize moonlight sails and other on-water activities. We have approximately 25 member families. If you are new to sailing we have several members who can teach you to sail and even help you locate a boat. See our calendar for activity dates.
